Kia PV5 Cargo Line-Up Adds L1/H1 and L2/H2 Vans
The Kia PV5 Cargo range will expand to include smaller and larger versions of the multi award-winning small electric van.
The model – which heralds Kia’s high-profile shift into the competitive commercial vehicle market – has been a big hit with press and public alike, with the manufacturer reportedly ramping up production to meet higher than anticipated demand.
The model’s success makes the arrival of two new panel van body sizes – L1/H1 and L2/H2 - particularly timely.
The Kia PV5 Cargo is currently only available in L2/H1 specification, but the new versions will slot both below and above it in the range, while the line-up will be supported by new conversion and chassis cab variants as well.
Optimised for urban logistics and service fleets, according to Kia, the L1/H1 [main image] represents a new entry point for the PV5 Cargo range.
A more direct rival to models like the Citroen Berlingo (M) and Ford Transit Connect SWB, the L1/H1 offers a generous 4.0 cubic metres of load space with a cargo length of 2,055mm. Its payload is 800kg, which is the most generous of any PV5 Cargo panel van.

The L2/H2, meanwhile, will be the most capacious with its 5.2 cubic metres of load space mates to a payload of up to 630kg.
For reference, the Kia PV5 Cargo L2/H1 offers 4.4 cubic metres of load space and up to 790kg of payload.
Both the L1/H1 and L2/H2 will come with the choice of a Standard Range (51.5kWh) or Long Range (71.2kWh) battery, with the latter capable of up to 248-miles of drive time.
In addition to the new models, the entire PV5 Cargo range has been given several model-year 2027 (MY27) updates, including standard driver’s lumbar support and a height adjustable arm rest, while a new composite bulkhead has been added to improve refinement.
