2025 Vauxhall Combo: Everything You Need To Know

The Vauxhall commercial vehicle range has long been established as a British institution, its vans – including the Vauxhall Combo – among the most trusted and relied upon vehicles in the UK.
A nameplate that has been in service since 1993, the Vauxhall Combo has today evolved into one of Europe’s most popular small vans.
Now in its fourth generation, the Combo has never been better, its credentials as a practical load-lugger with an impressive specification and refined driving experience, not to mention the option of an all-electric variant, identifying it as one of the small van segment’s strongest options.
The Vauxhall Combo Is The Best Of British
There is a huge amount of heritage attached to the Vauxhall name in the UK.
Named after the London borough in which it was founded, while Vauxhall has existed under foreign ownership since the 1920s and the brand is better-known as Opel in Europe and Holden in Australia, the UK arm of the company has always retained its British-origin moniker.
In fact, the UK is the only country in the world where you’ll find the Vauxhall brand, a testament to the strength of the nameplate within these shores for its enduring legacy as quintessentially British.
Moreover, the Vauxhall Combo itself has a particularly special tie to the British public as the only Vauxhall still manufactured in the UK as of 2025.
The recent closure of Vauxhall’s Luton plant has seen production of the Combo – together with its sister models, the Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, FIAT Doblo and Toyota Proace City – shift to Ellsemere Port.
The Combo’s siblings reflect Vauxhall’s current standing in the automotive sphere. Owned by General Motors for 79 years between 1929 and 2017, Vauxhall/Opel was sold to Groupe PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) before becoming a subsidiary of the newly-formed Stellantis Group, an automotive powerhouse comprising PSA (Peugeot/Citroen/Vauxhall/Opel) and FIAT Chrysler (FIAT/Chrysler/Dodge/Alfa Romeo/Lancia/Maserati).
The Vauxhall Combo was facelifted in 2024 to bring it further into line with other models in the manufacturer’s range with changes including a new ‘Vizor’ front-end inspired by the Mokka.

The Vauxhall Combo benefits from being one of the small van sector’s most practical and useable models.
Identical in size to its Citroen/FIAT/Peugeot/Toyota siblings, like its sisters the Combo is available in Standard (L1) and XL (L2) body configuration, plus Crew Van based on the XL size.
In a testament to the excellent packaging of the vehicle that despite being one of the most compact in terms of external dimensions, the Combo offers class-leading interior room.
With a load volume of 3.3 cubic metres in standard L1 guise, the Combo XL (L2) expands this to 3.9 cubic metres as a panel van.
However, the Combo also comes with the option of a ‘load through’ hatch in the main bulkhead, which opens up space in the passenger compartment when the front seat/bench is folded. This extends the offside load length from 1817mm to 3090mm in L1 guise or 2167mm to 3440mm in L2 guise.
Ideal for long loads, such as timber and poles, optioning the load through hatch increases total load volume to 3.8 cubic metres (L1-STD) and 4.4 cubic metres (L2-XL).
The Combo can also be specified with a dual-passenger bench seat, which allows for three people to be accommodated.
