You Can Now Transform a Citroen Relay into a Citroen Type H

No, your eyes do not deceive you, this really is an ordinary Citroen Relay somewhere underneath all of that retro chic bodywork!
Meet the modern-day interpretation of the Citroen Type H, a much-loved panel van manufactured by the French firm between 1947 and 1981.
Famed for its ostentatious features and boxy profile, while the Citroen Type H placed function above form, its utilitarian design proved charming all the same.
It was also enduringly popular with almost 500,000 examples being produced across those 34-years, during which it was a common sight on French roads.
Now, with the help of retro-mod experts The 2CV Shop and Caselani, the Type H can be revived with this eye-catching Citroen Relay conversion.
Produced under licence from Citroen, from the outset it’s hard to believe the final product started life as a Relay.
Indeed, the detailing is resplendent with the distinctive corrugated panelling, pepper-pot hubcaps, beady circular headlamps, angular protruding snout and large grille emblazoned with a huge Citroen chevron all being reimagined for 2025.
Under the skin things get a little more conventional with the existing e-Relay providing the platform. That means a 110kWh battery producing 270bhp and being good for up to 260-miles of range.
Available in a full range of body styles – going right up to L4 with its 17 cubic metres of load space – the ‘Type H Relay’ is targeted at companies who want to really shout about their business written on the side.
