Volkswagen Transporter Van Gets Racy Sportline Upgrade
The Volkswagen Transporter has become the latest van to get a bold racy makeover with the launch of a new Sportline version.
It is one of two new trim levels being added to the VW Transporter range for 2026 with a Commerce Pro S slotting in below the Sportline but above the existing Commerce Pro line.
It is the Sportline that makes the biggest visual impact though with reprofiled front and rear bumpers, a rear spoiler, gloss black grille, mirror caps and badging helping it stand out from your regular Transporter.
Not only that, the Transporter Sportline gets side skirts, roof rails and the suspension lowered by 29mm. Exclusive 19-inch dual-finish alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights and a signature red strip along the grille completes the look.
Inside, it gets hand-crafter leather sports seats with red stitching, a heated leather steering wheel and branded floor mats, plus illuminated metal scuff plates and gloss black surrounds.

The Transporter Sportline will be made available as a SWB and LWB (L1 and L2) panel van, or as a five-seat Kombi (crew van).
Additionally, to mark 75 years since iconic Volkswagen Bus went into production, a limited Sportline 75 Special Edition has been announced.
Only 75 examples will be made and include exclusive Moss Green paint, bespoke stitching on the upholstery and unique mirror caps with a Sportline 75 motif.
Beyond the Sportline, the Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S makes its debut boasting exclusive 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a body-coloured front splitter, extended rear spoiler and gloss black grille detailing.
The Transporter is just the latest van to get a visual overhaul to give it a sportier visual edge.
A movement that has been popularised by the success of the Ford Transit Custom Sport and MS-RT, there is also now the Peugeot Expert Sport, Citroen Dispatch VTR, FIAT Scudo Onyx and Vauxhall Vivaro GS.
