Apprenticeships have never been more popular in the UK with 353,500 being started between August 2023 and July 2024, while during that period were a total of 761,480 apprenticeships being participated in. Nearly 200,000 apprenticeships reached their achieved goal during that time.
As well as hands-on experience and academic learning, apprenticeships offer a legitimate road to a career, with the trade, building and manual labour industries seeing a significant influx of new starters going on to become skilled professionals in their field.
