More Awards for Kia PV5 Cargo Electric Van
The Kia PV5 Cargo has continued its sweep of high-profile awards after landing the Electric Van of the Year gong at the Electrifying.com EV Awards.
The van – which is the first commercial vehicle from the Korean manufacturer to be sold in Europe – is developed on its all-new PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) architecture.
Positioned in the Small Van class in terms of price, the Kia PV5 Cargo is built to dimensions that place it relatively close to the Medium Van sector.
The model – which is available on Vansdirect – has received widespread critical acclaim with a raft of awards that have praised its impressive 258-mile range, spacious interior and a raft of smart-connected features built around Kia’s new commercial eco-system.
Its latest plaudits have come from Electrifying.com, which singled the PV5 Cargo out for praise while also awarded Kia EV Brand of the Year.
Ginny Buckley, Editor-in-Chief at Electrifying.com said: "The Kia PV5 Cargo feels like a proper turning point for electric vans. The brand’s EV know-how from the car world has clearly carried over – this is a van that’s great to drive, smartly designed and built to a high standard.
“We love the modular platform and dedicated factory approach, which cuts out the waste and compromise that so often comes with traditional van conversions.
“Add in sharp looks and, crucially, an affordable price, and the PV5 Cargo makes electric van ownership feel genuinely attainable. A very deserving Van of the Year.”
The Kia PV5 Cargo will be the first of at least three new commercial vehicles to come from Kia in the next couple of years with larger PV7 and PV9 models set to follow.
