KGM Musso EV Electric Pick-Up Truck Confirmed for UK
The pick-up truck sector is to gain a bold new entry with the confirmation that the all-electric KGM Musso EV is on its way to the UK from May 2026.
Joining the existing diesel-fuelled KGM Musso pick-up truck and KGM Rexton CV in the Korean firm’s growing commercial line-up, the Musso EV becomes the second pure electric flat-bed to be launched after the Maxus eTerron 9.
Boasting a BYD-sourced 80.6kWh battery, the Musso EV touts a WLTP-endorsed range of 240-miles and a 20-80% charge time of just over 30-minutes, plus Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality to juice power tools and equipment.
Performance arrives from front and rear 152.2kW motors generating 205bhp, which in turn gives the Musso EV all-wheel drive versatility on the road. It also comes with three-stage regenerative braking to help replenish the battery.
The Musso EV offers a 690kg payload capacity, complete with a reinforced tailgate that can support 150kg, thus making it an ideal seat for two adults. Towing – a traditional strong point for the sister KGM Musso – is set at 2300kg.
Compared to the current Musso – which is due to be replaced more directly by a diesel-powered successor later in the year – the Musso EV gets a more contemporary look that echoes newer passenger models in KGM’s range.
At the front, the Musso EV has a striking black grille that incorporates elements of the front-end LED lighting, assertive body-cladding and wheelarches, plus diamond-cut alloy wheels. Six colours – Grand White, Amazon Green, Space Black, Ultra Marin, Marble Grey, and Blazing Gold [pictured] – will be available.
Inside, the Musso EV features a 12.3-inch digital cluster alongside a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, while kit includes powered and heated/ventilated front seats, while the second row of passengers will also get heated seats.
The KGM Musso EV is one of a handful of electrified pick-up trucks entering the fray in 2026, together with the new Toyota Hilux EV and the Isuzu D-Max EV, while the plug-in hybrid Ford Ranger PHEV is already available too.
