FIAT Scudo Onyx Dons Sports Kit for New Flagship Trim

FIAT has joined Stellantis stablemates Vauxhall, Citroen and Peugeot in giving its medium-sized crew van a sporty makeover with the FIAT Scudo Onyx.
Representing a new flagship trim for the Scudo range, the Onyx follows the theme of its sister models - the Vauxhall Vivaro GS, Peugeot Expert Sport and Citroen Dispatch VTR – with beefed up bodywork, unique decals and an upgraded interior.
Unlike its contemporaries though, the FIAT Scudo Onyx is being offered only in a crew van style. However, it is available with either diesel power or as an electric E-Scudo.
The Scudo Onyx bears closest resemblance to the Peugeot Expert Sport, with which it shares the same alloy wheel design and similar external decals.
Where the Onyx differs though is the signature ‘Cinema Black’ colourway that stretches from the bodywork to the wheels, which is then accentuated by a bold yellow accent on the side skirts, roof spoiler and bonnet.
Inside, the Scudo Onyx – which is based on the upper Primo trim but with optional packs included as standard – gets eco-leather and suede seating with yellow and blue contrast stitching, while the specification features dual-zone electronic climate control, heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, keyless entry/start and wireless charging.
Under the bonnet, the Scudo Onyx can be had with a 180bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, or as a fully electric van with a 75kWh battery generating 136hp and featuring a WLTP range of up to 230 miles.
