BiK-Friendly Ford Ranger Double Cab 2-Seat Added to Pick-Up Line
The Ford Ranger line-up will grow to include a two-seat option designed for commercial use that will allow eligible customers to apply the flat rate company van benefit-in-kind (BiK).
The Ford Ranger Double Cab 2-Seat, as it will be known, retains the same four-door layout as the top-selling standard pick-up truck, but the rear-seats and windows have been removed.
Instead, the rear compartment becomes a dedicated load space for tools and equipment, with Ford adding a robust metal bulkhead behind the driver-passenger section to separate them.

The rear windows have been replaced by aluminium panels, while a loadspace liner and heavy-duty floor with anchor points is added for increased security and stability.
The Ranger Double Cab 2-Seat – which will be offered with the choice of either diesel or plug-in hybrid powertrains in Wildtrak trim - is otherwise unchanged from the standard Double Cab, with identical dimensions and the same premium dashboard design.
The motivation behind the new Ranger Double Cab 2-Seat stems from the change introduced to four/five-seat pick-up trucks that stipulate their BiK rate is dictated by CO2 emissions figures when used as a company car.

With only two seats, this version of the Ranger is engineered for the carrying of goods, rather than as a potential family car.
As such, eligible customers should be able to claim 100 per cent plant and machinery allowance and apply the flat rate company van benefit-in-kind (BIK).
It’s a similar tactic adopted by the Isuzu D-Max Commercial, which was introduced in 2025 as a practical business alternative. The incoming Mitsubishi L200 will also offer a similar model within its range.
