The smallest van in the Citroen van range; alongside the Citroen Berlingo, new Citroen Dispatch and Citroen Relay, the Nemo has been around for approximately ten years, but its popularity has shown no sign of fading. Vansdirect examines 5 reasons why the Citroen Nemo continues to be an incredibly popular small van!
Essentially one of three ‘triplets’ built alongside the Fiat Fiorino and Peugeot Bipper, the main difference between the three vans is the option of engines. The 80ps engine is standard, however the Fiat also offers a 95ps option.
At just 3864mm long, 1584mm wide and 1721mm high the Citroen Nemo is an incredibly compact van. These dimensions make the Nemo the perfect van for navigating through busy city-centres and handling multi-storey car parks with ease. Maybe you need to parallel-park your van down busy side streets for deliveries, the compact nature of the Nemo makes this possible.
There’s no good your new van being compact if you can’t fit everything you need into it. This isn’t the case with the Nemo, the load volumes are surprisingly impressive. Fold down the passenger seat and you have space for loads of 2491mm! A low load sill also makes it easy to load heavy cargo, while they can be secured with built-in anchor points. Loading and unloading is also made convenient with a sliding side door or optional twin sliding side doors, whereas rear doors open to 90 degrees or 180 degrees.
The sole choice of engine is the 80ps Euro 6 engine. This output delivers 190Nm of torque and a fuel economy of 62.8mpg! A figure that not many other small vans can match. In terms of emissions, the Citroen Nemo has low emissions of 119g/km.
The Citroen Nemo is a small van packed with extra features. Available in X, LX and Enterprise models, the Nemo standard features include: EXTENSO folding front passenger seat, radio, CD player, on-board trip computer, ABS, driver’s airbag and nearside sliding side loading door.
Upgrading to LX models adds plus pack and comfort pack features, including: Remote central locking with deadlocks, electronically adjustable heated door mirrors, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, lidded glove box and dashboard mounted clipboard.
