Stellantis Slashes Charging Wait Across Electric Large Van Range

The Stellantis Pro One group has announced an upgrade to the charging facilities of its electric large van range across its Vauxhall/Opel, Peugeot, Citroen and FIAT brands.
From May 2025, the BEV versions of Stellantis’ quartet of large vans – the Vauxhall Movano Electric, Citroen e-Relay, FIAT e-Ducato and Vauxhall/Opel – will be equipped with a 22kW onboard charger as standard.
This is double the performance of the current line-up, which charges at 11kW and takes 11hr 45mins for a recharge.
However, with a 22kW charger using a typical three-phase wallbox, this is significantly reduced to 6hr 5mins.
Using a 150kW DC rapid charger, a 0-80% charge can be completed in just 55mins.
The new onboard charger is one of a small handful of updates to the entire Movano/Relay/Boxer/Ducato range with the diesel variants updated to meet stricter emissions legislation well in advance of the new regulations being applied from 1st January 2026.
Customers will also be able to select the cost option of a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen on both electric and diesel models, replacing the existing five-inch unit.
