Skoda Enyaq Cargo Brings Electric Chic to Commercial Sector
Skoda has announced itself as the very latest entry into the invigorated car-cum-van conversion sector with the launch of the Skoda Enyaq Cargo EV.
Based on the award-winning Enyaq electric SUV, the Cargo variant will be exclusively available to fleet customers in what is a new area of development for the Czechia marque.
Already one of the best-selling EVs in Europe, the Skoda Enyaq Cargo is largely unchanged under the skin with the base 85 and 85x versions combining all-wheel drive with a WLTP combined range of 359 and 322 miles respectively.
Boasting a high-tech, ergonomic interior that has been lauded in the motoring press, the Enyaq Cargo differs from behind the front seats with a bulkhead being installed and the rear seating mechanism removed.
Developed in conjunction with Strong Plastic Products Ltd, Skoda says the Enyaq Cargo meets the strict safety standards without compromising efficiency.
The conversion includes the removal of the rear seats, fitting of a lightweight bulkhead wit clear window insert, load lashing, a rear charge cable floor stowage box and rear window tints.
With the rear seats removed, the Skoda Enyaq Cargo should be capable of offering a 1710 litre load space.
