2026 KGM Rexton CV: Everything You Need To Know
We all know the phrase ‘looks can be deceiving’ but in the context of vans, you’d be hard-pressed to mistake one if it drove past you – that is unless this van is a KGM Rexton CV.
Indeed, the KGM Rexton CV doesn’t give off the usual van-type vibes with its SUV profile, raised off-roading ride-height and chrome detailing... that’s no coincidence, for the KGM Rexton is ultimately a four-wheel drive car.

KGM Rexton CV is a BiK-Friendly Alternative to a Pick-Up
The KGM Rexton CV joins the long-established KGM Musso pick-up truck in the Korean firm’s commercial vehicle range, before both are joined by the new KGM Musso EV this Spring too.
The Rexton CV comes as a direct response to the UK’s move to reclassify pick-up trucks with four/five seats as family cars, thus consigning double cab models to company car tax regulations – including the KGM Musso.
As it stands, only two-seat pick-up trucks are eligible to be considered under BiK (Benefit-in-Kind) regulations, allowing them to get a capital write-down and a first-year VED of £345.
Since the Rexton CV is only a two-seater – with the rear bench removed to increase the load area – it becomes eligible for BiK.
2026 KGM Rexton CV: Dimensions, Loads & Weights
From the outset, there is precious little to distinguish the KGM Rexton CV from its passenger-carrying equivalent beyond the opaque rear windows if you look closely enough.
Even so, the Rexton is already a large vehicle at 4850mm in length, while it also comes with a 2865mm wheelbase, which isn’t much shorter than your average small panel van.
With the rear bench removed, the Rexton CV gets a mesh bulkhead to split the load bay from the driver’s compartment.
The rear load compartment is accessed via a power lifted tailgate or the rear-doors, where a decently sized, well-shaped load bay measuring 2200-litres is revealed.
The length of the load bay is 1900mm, which compares with the 1570mm load length of the Musso Saracen+ four-seat double cab.
Capable of accommodating a Euro pallet, the Rexton CV also offers a generous payload ‘in excess of’ 700kg.
Better yet, the Rexton with its ladder-on-frame chassis is optimised for towing, allowing the CV to match pick-up trucks by hauling up to 3500kg. It’s no coincidence that the Rexton SUV has become a particularly popular choice among caravanners.
2026 KGM Rexton CV: Engine, Performance & Powertrains
Under the skin, the KGM Rexton CV gets the same 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine that is found in the Musso pick-up truck.
In the Rexton CV – which is almost identical in weight to the Musso – the engine generates 198bhp and reaches 0-62mph in 10.7secs.
More importantly, the Rexton CV produces 441Nm of torque at between 1600 and 2600rpm, giving it plenty of low-down pulling power for when it is hauling heavy payloads.
With a fuel tank capacity of 70-litres and combined fuel economy of 33mpg (WLTP), the Rexton CV all but matches its pick-up truck counterparts in terms of technical specifications.
It’s also similarly capable off-road, the Rexton CV developed with a ladder-on-frame chassis that is optimised for use in the rough stuff. It means the Rexton was already one of the more capable SUVs in the rough stuff and the CV is no different.
Helping things along is its eight-speed automatic transmission and selectable all-wheel drive complete with low ratio setting for tackling touch surfaces.
