Ford Transit Custom LEADER
The entry-level Ford Transit Custom Leader is engineered primarily to capitalise on the model’s native strengths – not least its 5.8 cubic metre load bay - within a package that is lightweight, no-frills and strong value-for-money.
It means you’ll find 16-inch steel wheels (rather than alloy) and black plastic moulded bumpers, while the Leader trim is only available with a manual gearbox with a choice of 110PS or 136PS 2.0-litre turbodiesel engines.
Despite the basic exterior, the Leader is still generously kitted out with parking sensors, daytime running lights, quick-clear heated windscreen, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers and a lane-keeping aid all standard.
The Transit Custom Leader is only available as a panel van.
Ford Transit Custom TREND
The Ford Transit Custom Trend is regarded as the best-selling trim level in the model line-up.
It is available with a broad choice of powertrains, including 110PS and 136PS diesel engines, a 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid (PHEV) and 136PS and 218PS versions of the 65kWh electric E-Transit Custom Trend.
The Trend can be specified with either a manual or automatic gearbox, while upgraded kit levels include new design 16-inch steel wheels, body-coloured bumpers, a rear-view camera and air-conditioning.
The Transit Custom Trend is available as a panel van, double cab-in-van and Kombi, while there is also an all-wheel drive option.
Ford Transit Custom LIMITED
The Ford Transit Custom Limited offers greater sophistication with its standard equipment with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a Thatcham Category 1 alarm, load compartment lights and four-way adjustable heated seats, in addition to what is offered with Leader and Trend trims.
Under the bonnet, the Transit Custom Limited can be mated with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel generating any one of four different power outputs – 110PS, 136PS, 150PS or 170PS.
It can also be selected as a 2.5-litre Plug-in petrol-electric hybrid, or as an E-Transit Custom Limited with either a 136PS or 218PS 65kWh battery.
The Transit Custom Limited comes as either a panel van, double cab-in-van, Kombi or Multicab.
Ford Transit Custom TRAIL
The rugged-looking Ford Transit Custom Trail plays on the option of it having an all-wheel drive variant by offering unique SUV-style design traits, including optional 17-inch black alloy wheels, a unique Trail grille, gloss black door mirrors and skid-plate and striking yellow exterior decals.
The theme continues inside with yellow stitching on the seating, plus a Sensico wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob.
Under the skin, the Transit Custom Trail gets a mechanical limited-slip differential on manual models, while the engine choice includes 136PS, 150PS and 170PS versions of the 2.0-litre turbodiesel. There is no E-Transit Custom electric variant offered with the Trail trim.
The Transit Custom Trail comes as either a panel van, double cab-in-van and Kombi.
Ford Transit Custom SPORT
The most prestigious trim in the range is the Ford Transit Custom, which is also available as the electric Ford E-Transit Custom Sport.
Upgrades for the turbodiesel/PHEV in Sport trim include 17-inch matte-black alloy wheels, accent strips, carbon black grille and mesh surround, dual-zone air-conditioning and a unique anodised iron instrumental panel deco spear.
The E-Transit Custom Sport, meanwhile, offers 19-inch alloy wheels and polygon detailing on the front grille.
The Transit Custom Sport comes with the choice of 150PS and 170PS 2.0-litre turbodiesel or 2.5-litre PHEV, while the E-Transit Custom Sport is either 136PS or 218PS 65kWh battery.
The Transit Custom Sport is offered in either panel van or double cab-in-van.
Ford Transit Custom MS-RT
The flagship Ford Transit Custom MS-RT is a bold style statement with its accentuated features and racy bodywork inspired by Ford’s rich heritage in motorsport.
Available in a wide array of dazzlingly bright colours – including Cadmium Yellow, Turini Purple, Sunset Orange and Fast Blue – the MS-RT is resplendent with its aerodynamic front bumper with integrated splitter, striking 19-inch alloy wheels, blue painted brake callipers and sports side skirt.
At the rear, the MS-RT gets a sports rear quarter and rear bumper integrated diffuser, a large rear spoiler tailored for either a lifted tailgate or a double door-hinged tailgate.
It is available with the choice of 150PS or 170PS 2.0-litre turbodiesel or with a 2.5-litre PHEV petrol-electric hybrid.
Opt for an electric E-Transit Custom MS-RT and you can have an exclusive 285PS version of the 65kWh battery powertrain.
Ford E-Transit Custom
For those looking to get their running costs down, the all-electric Ford E-Transit Custom offers zero exhaust emissions and a generous range.
The E-Transit Custom is available with a 65kWh battery, which is available with three different power outputs: 136PS, 218PS and 285PS
Ford Transit Custom Double Cab-In-Van
The Double Cab-In-Van (DCiV) increases the useability of the Transit Custom by adding a second row of seats for an extra three passengers.
Coupled to the choice of either two individual front seats or a third-person bench seat up front, the Transit Custom Double Cab-In-Van can seat up to six people.
Ford Transit Custom Multicab
The Multicab is designed to give you added flexibility with multiple seating configurations possible.
This means it is possible to utilise the full 3450mm of load space length up to the bulkhead or have a second row of seating – and everything in between.
Individual chairs can be removed to allow you to transport three or four people, with additional load space available where additional seat would have been.
Ford Transit Custom Kombi
If carrying passengers is your main aim, the Ford Transit Custom Kombi is designed to blur the lines between a functional commercial vehicle and a minibus.
With options to carry as many as nine people, the Kombi has a low-step entrance but retains its sub-two metre height making it ideal for both business and pleasure.
