Farizon SV Combi Brings Crew Van Flexibility to Electric Van Range

The all-new Farizon SV range is set to grow with the addition of two more variations, including a crew van-style Combi and seven-seat taxi.
The two models were revealed at Hong Kong Auto Expo and while they are initially only available in Farizon’s native China, the company says it is assessing a roll-out for export markets.
The unveiling of the new models comes as Farizon – the commercial vehicle arm of Geely - ramps up efforts to launch its brand in the UK.
Headed up by the Farizon SV panel van, it is available in five different body configurations to place it both in the Medium van sector as a rival to the Ford Transit Custom and the Large van sector as a rival to the Ford Transit.
The Farizon SV Combi crew van comes with either five or six seats and is being aimed at fleets and operators who have a need to transport both passengers and cargo.
Cargo space in L1 variants amounts to 3.8 cubic metres, while the L2 versions come with 5.0 cubic metres in the load bay behind the rear row of seats.
The Farizon SV Taxi, meanwhile, is aimed at the minibus sector as a competitor for the Ford Tourneo Custom and Renault Trafic Passenger.
It offers space for seven seats and is assisted by the low ground clearance and the omission of a B-pillar, which increases the access space through the side sliding door.
The interior has been re-purposed for passenger use with multiple cupholders, USB-C charging sockets and a multi-function storage box included as standard.
As well as being offered in five different body configurations (L1/H1, L1/H2, L2/H2, L2/H3, L3/H3) the Farizon SV panel van comes with the choice of three different battery capacities – 67kWh, 83kWh and 106kWh.
These each offer 228bhp in power and are capable of travelling 188 miles, 234 miles and 247 miles on a single charge respectively.
While little known in the UK, Farizon’s parent company Geely is in the midst of a launch on these shores as passenger car brand. Beyond that, however, it also counts Volvo and Lotus among its automotive portfolio.
