DELIVAN Outlines European FSCV Strategy, Reveals Concept Van
Chery Commercial Vehicle has outlined its ambitious plans to enter the European commercial vehicle market with its all-new dedicated brand, DELIVAN.
Receiving its world premiere at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, the marque also unveiled a concept of its inaugural DELIVAN model, which will be an electric medium van to rival the Ford Transit Custom.
DELIVAN is just the latest spin-off brand from Chery, one of China’s largest automotive entities. However, this is the first to focus primarily on commercial vehicles.
Chery’s CV move comes having already made a significant impression on the passenger car market despite only entering the UK within the last two years. Indeed, by combining the sales figures of its Chery, Jaecoo and Omoda brands, only Volkswagen sold more cars in the UK last month.
It’s a golden touch Chery is now looking to replicate in the commercial vehicle space with DELIVAN, which will comprise new models rather than retooled versions of vans the brand already sells in its home market.

The first of these will be an as-yet-unnamed medium van, which was displayed as an L1/H2 concept format at the show.
Though part of the model was stylised with Perspex to demonstrate its electric powertrain, the concept otherwise features a conventional shape with flat side panels. Even so, the raked windscreen, which plunges straight into the front-end, and the plain wheel trims show care has been taken to ensure aerodynamic efficiency.
At the front, the DELIVAN features slender headlights, while the black trim on the nose features a function that can display pixelated messages – in this case, ‘Hello UK’ – though it’s unclear if this will make it to production.
Alongside the concept, DELIVAN also revealed it will arrive in Europe as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to ensure end-to-end solutions from building vehicles to digital programmes to aftermarket.

Importantly, DELIVAN has been created with Europe firmly in mind, with the company launching its FSCV (Future Super Commercial Vehicle) strategy, which will comprise DELIVAN PRO, DELIVAN X and DELIVAN I commercial applications.
These applications will provide service and maintenance, vehicle configurability and logistics solutions for firms running DELIVAN vehicles.
Jolly Yang, VP of Chery Commercial Vehicle and CEO of Delivan, said: “This is a defining moment for Chery Commercial Vehicle as we take our first step into the European market at the Commercial Vehicle Show. Europe represents one of the most advanced and demanding commercial vehicle environments in the world, and it is exactly where we want to demonstrate the strength of our vision, our technology and our long-term commitment.”
DELIVAN is scheduled to formally launch in the UK in early-2027
