Citroen vans and Peugeot vans have announced that electric van versions of the Citroen Dispatch and Peugeot Expert will be joining the range in 2020. Vansdirect reveals all!
Both new electric vans will be available in 2020 and offer a maximum claimed range of 186 miles and are part of the goals of both Citroen vans and Peugeot vans to offer electric versions of their entire new van ranges by 2021. The new Peugeot e-Expert and Citroen Dispatch electric vans are expected to join the UK new van market in the second half of 2020.
Like the recently revealed Vauxhall Vivaro-e, the new Peugeot and Citroen vans will be based on PSA’s EMP2 platform and will be available with two battery sizes: a 50kWh unit offering a maximum range on the WLTP cycle of 124 miles, or an optional 75kWh unit delivering a range of 186 miles.
Like the Vauxhall Vivaro-e, Citroen vans and Peugeot vans are yet to confirm final specifications of their new vans. However as the bodies are shared with diesel powered versions, they should offer the same load carrying capabilities and similar payloads to these, with load volumes up to 6.1 cubic metres and payloads up to 1400kg available on longest models. We can expect similar levels of standard equipment to mid-range versions of the diesel medium vans, in the form of the Citroen Dispatch Enterprise, Peugeot Expert Professional and Vauxhall Vivaro Sportive.
