The Vauxhall Vivaro is a Medium Van available in two different body configurations – Panel Van and XL – plus Doublecab crew van, which is available in both Panel Van (L1) and XL.
The Vauxhall Vivaro L1 is 4981mm long, while the larger L2 stretches to 5331mm. More compact than rivals like the Transit Custom and Transporter, it’s easier to park yet still delivers excellent cargo space.
The Vauxhall Vivaro shares its underpinnings and mechanicals with equivalent models from within parent company Stellantis' group - the Citroen Dispatch, Peugeot Expert and FIAT Scudo, plus the Toyota Proace.
It means the Vivaro has identical dimensions to that of its siblings with nothing to choose between these models in terms of size and interior space.
The larger XL (L2) body size is notable for extending its length between the rear wheel and the rear overhang, rather than increasing the wheelbase. It means the Vivaro has exactly the same wheelbase across the range, regardless of whether it is a Panel Van, XL or Crew Van.
The Vivaro comes with three front seats as standard, while the Crew Van - which can be selected in an L1 or L2 body size - adds a rear-seat bench to increase the number of occupants to six people.
While the load volume to the bulkhead is competitive for the class at 5.3 cubic metres (L1) or 6.1 cubic metres (L2), the Expert has the option of a load-through bulkhead hatch/foldable front-seat which extends the load capacity into the front passenger footwell.
This increases load length at floor by more than 1.1m in the L1 or by an extra 1.2m in the L2. This increases cargo volume overall to 5.8 cubic metres (L1) or 6.6 cubic metres (L2).
The Doublecab L1 has 3.2 cubic metres of cargo room or 4.0 cubic metres in L2 guise.

The Vauxhall Vivaro Panel Van length has a payload ranging between 1173kg to 1384kg when paired with one of either turbodiesel versions available (1.5-litre or 2.0-litre).
Choose the Long (L2) specification Vivaro and the payload ranges between 1121-1335kg.
The 2.0-litre Turbo Diesel Doublecab has a 1242kg payload in L1 guise, while the Doublecab XL has a payload of 1172kg.
Choose the 75kWh Vauxhall Vivaro Electric and the payload ranges from 915kg to 1001kg.
The Vauxhall Vivaro's towing capacity is dependent on the engine or powertrain you select.
In its most powerful 2.0-litre Turbo Diesel, the Vivaro can tow braked up to 2500kg, while the 1.5-litre Turbo Diesel manages 2000kg.
Each electric Vivaro Electric in Standard or Long guise is capable of towing up to 1000kg.
