Flexible Van Dimensions to Suit Every Job

Being based on the same platform as the Citroen Relay, FIAT Ducato, Vauxhall Movano and Toyota Proace Max means the Peugeot Boxer has identical dimensions to these models.

The different dimensions of the Peugeot Boxer enables one of the widest choices of body size in the large van class, giving you the opportunity to get the van that is right for you and your needs.

As well as the six different Panel Van options, the Boxer is offered in Window Van, Chassis Cab, Platform Cab, Dropside Cab and Back-to-Back body styles, otherwise known as L2-3/H1.

In its largest L4/H3 guise, the Boxer can offer as much as 17 cubic metres and a load length of 4070mm. By contrast, the L2 length Peugeot Boxer has a bulkhead-to-door floor length of 3120mm, while the L3 offers 3705mm.

Smart Design, Maximum Load Space

In terms of height, the Boxer offers 1662mm at its lowest H1 guise, rising to 1932mm for the taller H2 variant and on to 2172mm for the H3.

Beyond the L4/L3 model, the L4/H2 and L3/H3 both offer 15 cubic metres. The L3/H2 model has 13 cubic metres of space, the L2/H2 has 11.5 cubic metres and the smallest L2/H1 offers 10 cubic metres.

The Peugeot Boxer is also notable for having an identical wheelbase length for L3 and L4 body sizes despite the latter being longer in overall length and having a larger cargo bay.

This is due to the L4 model placing its extended length behind the rear axle to improve payload capacity, rather than between the front and rear axles. This also allows for unobstructed load entry space that isn't impeded by the inside of the wheelarches.

Peugeot Boxer Payload

The Peugeot Boxer presents a broad range of different payload capacities but this is dependent on which engine and body size is selected.

The largest model in the range - the L4 - can carry up to 2030kg using the more powerful 178bhp (180) designation of the 2.2-litre turbodiesel. The 140 turbodiesel - which is offered in L2, L3 and L4 lengths - has a payload capacity that ranges from 1235kg to 1500kg.

In electric trim, the Peugeot E-Boxer offers a payload capacity of between 710kg and 1460kg depending on which length you choose.

Peugeot Boxer Towing Capacity

The Peugeot Boxer offers a generous towing capacity across the entire range, no matter the body style configuration or powertrain choice.

In turbodiesel guise, the Relay can achieve a maximum 3000kg towing capacity with the largest L4 body style, while smaller L2 and L3 models range between 2500kg and 3000kg.

Using the electric powertrain, the Peugeot E-Boxer has a maximum braked towing capacity of 2400kg.
