Ford vans at the CV Show
Following the success of the Ford Ranger Black Edition, Ford vans took to the 2018 CV Show to reveal the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak X pick-up; alongside new face-lifted models of the Ford Transit Custom, Ford Transit Connect and Ford Transit Courier vans. Ford vans weren't finished there with the surprising reveal of the Ford Fiesta Sport van, in what proved to be and incredibly busy show for the iconic new van brand.
Ford Ranger Wildtrak X
As the name suggests, the new pick-up is based on the top of the range Ford Ranger Wildtrak model and gets a number of additional features above the flagship pick-up, including an enhanced styling kit.
Standing out from the crowd
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X creates a strong impression from the exterior, with a highly attractive 'Performance Blue' colour scheme, the first time that a Ranger Wildtrak pick-up has been available in this colour scheme. For a more distinctive and powerful appearance, Ford vans have also altered the fog light bezels, whereas in other exterior modifications, the front bumper now features Front park assist. Only 1000 models will be available in the UK, underlining the exclusivity of the new pick-up.
Enhanced interior styling
The standard Ford Ranger pick-up is incredibly stylish, however the limited edition Wildtrak X has modified the styling for an even more luxurious feel. The netter cloth of standard Wildtrak models have been substituted for premium leather upholstery with 'Wildtrak' stitching included in River Rock. The River Rock grey stitching is also present in the instrument panel, steering wheel and door trim. Ford vans have also added floor matts and scuff plates which are unique to the new pick-up.
An excellent performer
The Ford Ranger Wildtrak X gets the same 3.2-litre Euro 6 compliant diesel engine as the standard Wildtrak pick-up, delivering an output of 200ps and a staggering 470Nm of torque, allowing the pick-up to tow a class leading 3.5-tonnes. The Wildtrak X receives the phenomenal standard Wildtrak spec, with standard features including: interior lighting with dimming control, climate control, reversing camera and an 8-inch infotainment system with Ford SYNC 3 and satellite navigation.
