Fiat vans target small businesses with new Sportivo range!
First displayed at the 2018 CV Show at the NEC in April, Fiat vans are aiming their new range of Sportivo vans at small businesses and one man band operators.
Fiat Sportivo vans range
We first saw the Sportivo range of Fiat vans when we visited the CV Show in Birmingham earlier this year, Sportivo models bring more prominent and eye-catching looks in conjunction with an upmarket spec, with the brand stating that the range are aimed primarily at small businesses and sole traders, giving a more professional appearance to their businesses.
Based on Technino trim
The Sportivo trim level is available across the entire Fiat vans range: from the Fiat Fiorino, to the Fiat Doblo Cargo, Fiat Talento and Fiat Ducato and is based on the high spec Technino trim level, which means that the new vans are already littered with standard features, including: air conditioning, touchscreen with satnav, reverse parking sensors and cruise control. Sportivo trim levels add to these features further with: alloy wheels, metallic paint, Sportivo side-stripes, painted bumpers (except Fiorino), and a variety of other safety and comfort features all coming as standard on the new Fiat vans.
Different but upmarket
Commenting on the new Fiat Sportivo range, head of brand at Fiat, Richard Chamberlain stated: "Sportivo for me is the right specification for the growing number of SMEs and single van, van drivers who want something different but upmarket. We've been successful with Tecnico; Sportivo builds on this." Chamberlain also eluded that the Sportivo range is perfect for van drivers who take pride in their van and want the van to outline the professional image of their businesses.
Proud to be driving around in on weekends
Chamberlain also commented that the Fiat Sportivo range is not just perfect for business use, but for usage outside of work: "The Sportivo range is also good because not only does it look good for business it's something proud to be driving around at weekends, particularly with the family."
Fiat Talento to lead the Sportivo range
Chamberlain also speculated that he expects the Fiat Talento to lead the Fiat vans Sportivo range, with the Talento fitting into a large segment of the market particularly for small businesses and sole traders, with the medium van based on the award winning Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro vans.
