Sportier Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S Unveiled
Volkswagen has revealed the first images of the Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S, which will slot in towards the top of the medium van’s range.
It is one of two new trim levels Volkswagen is introducing to the Transporter range, including a flagship Sportline model that gets a bold racy makeover to rival the Ford Transit Custom MS-RT and Vauxhall Vivaro GS.
The Transporter Commerce Pro S, meanwhile, is an upgrade on the erstwhile range-topper, the Commerce Pro.
Like the Sportline, it too gets a raft of exterior modifications to give it a more impactful aesthetic, including exclusive gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, a body-coloured front splitter, extended rear spoiler and gloss black grille detailing.
Other features include black mirror caps, illuminated scuff plates inside, a high-gloss black infotainment display frame and sun visors with illuminated mirrors.
The Volkswagen Transporter Commerce Pro S is available in either SWB or LWB (short wheelbase, long wheelbase) size as a panel van or Kombi crew van. It comes with the choice of either a diesel engine or an electric powertrain.
Volkswagen also confirms it will be available as an eHybrid PHEV (plug-in hybrid) when that is introduced to the range further down the line.
On the road pricing starts at £43,050.
