International Van of the Year 2027 Shortlist Announced
The Farizon V7E and new Renault Trafic E-Tech are among six commercial vehicles that have been shortlisted for the prestigious International Van of the Year 2027 prize.
Considered the most coveted accolade in the commercial vehicle industry, the IVotY award is handed out to the most impressive new van launch of the previous 12 months.
Last year’s winner was the Kia PV5 Cargo, a model that has gone on to become a major sales success since it went on full release.
For 2027, six models will go head-to-head for the prize, which will be decided by a 26-member jury and announced at the Night of the Stars Gala in mid-September.
International Van of the Year 2027 Shortlist:
Farizon V7E
After its inaugural offering, the Farizon SV, received high commendation by the IVotY judges last year, the Chinese manufacturer will get a second crack at the main prize with its latest launch, the Farizon V7E.
Built on the same modular skateboard platform as the SV, the Farizon V7E is aimed more at city-based last-mile delivery services with its slender, but long dimensions allowing for a sizeable 6.95-cubic metres of space and a plus-tonne payload capacity.
Hyundai STARIA Load Electric
Not available in the UK as yet, the Hyundai STARIA Load is another electric-based entry into the commercial vehicle sector offering competitive payload and load capacities.
Maxus Deliver 7
Though not the newest van on the market, regular updates have earned the Maxus Deliver 7 a belated shot at IVotY glory. Available in diesel and electric form, the Deliver 7 gets a modern interior, complete with 12.3-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility.
It’s also among the most spacious in the medium van class, while it is offered with the option of a taller H2 variant allowing for up to 7.2-cubic metres of load space.
Renault Trafic E-Tech
Coming soon, the Renault Trafic E-Tech is promising to herald the next era of electric vans with impressive range potential without compromising on payload and load space.
In ‘Long Range’ guise, the Trafic E-Tech boasts up to 280-miles of range – which is further than either the Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo and Kia PV5 – while still offering 1250kg of payload and up to 5.1-cubic metres of load space in L1 configuration.
Stellantis Pro One New Entry-Level Van
Stellantis Pro One’s venerable quartet of small vans have gained a new entry-level trim for 2027 aimed at offering more competitive value for those who simply need to get the job done.
Known as the Citroen Berlingo Van First, Fiat Professional Doblo EasyPro, Opel/Vauxhall Combo Start and Peugeot Partner Active, the models have pared down specifications for a lower price but still come with a wealth of clever practical touches.
Volkswagen Caddy Cargo
The Volkswagen Caddy Cargo has been facelifted ahead of 2027 to keep the popular small van fresh until a new generation arrives in the next couple of years.
While full specifications haven’t been revealed as yet, the Caddy Cargo is confirmed to be received new 18-inch alloy wheels, new exterior colours and a reprofiled bumper to look the part on the road.
