Toyota vans celebrate 50 years of Hilux with special AT35 pick-up!
In conjunction with a new face-lifted Toyota Hilux model, Toyota vans celebrated 50 years of the iconic pick-up at the CV Show 2018 with the launch of the incredibly eye catching Toyota Hilux AT35!

As the AT in AT35 suggests, this latest creation wasn't just from Toyota vans, they called in the help of experts in creating off-road pick-up conversions, Arctic Trucks. The Hilux AT35 arrives 11 years after Top Gear famously made in to the North Pole in the iconic pick-up, the new Hilux AT35 also marks an impressive 50 years of Hilux.
Features
The new Toyota Hilux AT35 stands out from the crowd with staggering 35-inch all-terrain tyres for the most challenging of off-road conditions. The pick-up also gains bespoke model-specific suspension which offers a secure ride and handling, in conjunction with 25 percent more ground clearance and wider bodywork mainly to accommodate the mammoth 35-inch tyres also part of the conversion.
Performance
The new Toyota Hilux AT35 pick-up uses the same Euro 6 compliant 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine as the entire Hilux range and is married to a six-speed automatic gearbox as standard, also standard is four-wheel drive. Despite being a big pick-up, the impressive 400Nm of torque generated can keep it moving under almost all conditions. The 25 percent increase in ground clearance aims to provide a secure ride and handling and a pick-up which is equally as competent on-road and off-road, whilst the AT35 also gets an approach angle of 37 degrees and departure angle of 28 degrees.
Exciting addition to the UK market
CEO of Arctic Trucks, Patrik von Sydow spoke of the brand's excitement to bring the new pick-up to the UK market: "We're excited to bring the AT35 version of the legendary Hilux to the UK. The model is already successful in other countries, so it was a natural decision to develop and launch the vehicle for the UK market."
