Let's take a look at the different models. We'll run through a select few, starting with the L1 H1 variant. In case you didn't know, 'L' refers to length and 'H' to height - the higher the number the longer/taller the van, and vice versa.
Peugeot Boxer L1 H1 - Builders
Interior space, flexibility, practicality and excellent fuel economy - the Peugeot Boxer L1 panel van ticks a lot of boxes. The L1 version provides a load volume of 8 cubic metres while the load length measures 2670mm. Payload capacity is over a tonne, at 1155kg - making this model perfect for builders. In terms of storage, there are useful overhead bins along with a massive glovebox that is big enough to store a laptop.
Powered by a 2.2-litre 110PS engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, this unit delivers a maximum torque figure of 250Nm. Official figures claim a fuel economy of 41.5mpg which isn't too shabby for a large van.

Peugeot Boxer L2 H2 - Plumbers
Moving on, the L2 H2 version of the Peugeot Boxer provides a load volume of 11.5 cubic metres. This translates to a load length of over 3 metres as well as headroom just shy of 2 metres which is plenty big enough for most people to stand up and move around. This makes the L2 H2 Boxer an ideal van for tradesmen such as plumbers who can easily carry 3m pipes inside the van.
Payload capacity is an impressive 1375kg which means carrying tools and materials is no problem. Should you need to install racking in your Peugeot Boxer, a load area width of 1870mm provides the option. In fact, both width and width between wheel arches are the same on all Boxer models.
This model is powered by a 2.2-litre 130PS unit delivering 320Nm maximum torque meaning that it's got a lot more grunt than the 110PS unit. Fuel economy remains the same, as do CO2 emissions which sit at 180g/km.

Peugeot Boxer L3 H2 - Delivery drivers/Couriers
Our best-selling version of the Boxer, the L3H2 model is a real all-rounder. A load length of almost 4 metres combined with a load area height of 1932mm and a payload in excess of a tonne-and-a-half makes it a great choice for delivery drivers/couriers.
The 130PS power unit is identical to that of the L2H2, although fuel economy figures will differ, depending on driving style and load. If you're regularly going to be carrying a full load, this is definitely the engine to go for as you'll need the 320Nm of torque it produces.
Peugeot offer the Boxer with two trim levels, 'standard' and 'professional'. Choose the Professional version and you'll get rear parking sensors included - perfect for making sure you don't clip any parked cars when delivering to residential streets.

Peugeot Boxer L4 H2 - Carpet fitters
Last but not least, it's the Peugeot Boxer L4 H2. It's the biggest version and as such the perfect choice for those looking for a long load length, like carpet fitters. The L4's load length of over 4 metres is perfect for carrying rolls of carpet.
The L4 model suffers slightly with regard to payload, which is 85kg lower than the L3 version although this should not cause too much of an issue as the L4 Boxer still carries 1440Kg. A sliding side door ensures easy access to the load bay.

The Professional trim level includes a touchscreen with DAB Digital radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, rear parking sensors, air conditioning and cruise control. These features are not included on Standard models.
