The Citroen Berlingo small van is available in two sizes – M (Medium) and XL (Long) – plus Crew Van.
The Berlingo van in M and XL sizes offers three powertrain options: two turbodiesel engines and one electric model. It comes in two trims – Enterprise and Enterprise Plus.
All Citroen Berlingo vans come with one sliding side door and asymmetric 60:40 side-hinged rear doors that open to 180-degrees. A sliding side door on each side can be added at extra cost.
Despite being one of the most compact small vans in terms of exterior dimensions in standard M trim (4403mm), the Citroen Berlingo demonstrates efficient packaging inside and subsequently offers a longer load length in the cargo bay than most rivals (1817mm).
This is without Citroen's Extenso' feature, which is available as standard on Enterprise Plus models. Coming as part of a package that also includes a two-person front seat bench - thus allowing three adults to be seated up front - the Extenso feature includes a hatch in the bulkhead that opens to allow for particularly long loads to be carried, such as timber, poles and sporting equipment.
It increases the load length to 3090mm (M) or 3440mm (XL), while total load bay volume increases from 3.3cu m to 3.8cu m in M trim or 3.9cu m to 4.4cu m in XL guise.
The Citroen Berlingo XL is just over 300mm longer than the equivalent M version, an extension generated by it having a larger wheelbase and longer rear overhang.

The Citroen Berlingo offers a payload of between 642 and 982kg depending on which engine/powertrain and body configuration you choose.
The entry-level 100PS 1.5-litre Blue HDi turbodiesel in the Medium body style is the most generous with payload, offering 982kg.
The Citroen Berlingo has between 1000kg and 1030kg available in maximum braked towing capacity when selected with a turbodiesel engine, both 100PS and 130PS.
The 52kWh electric model offers a maximum braked towing capacity of 750kg.
