Ford vans reveal new Fiesta Sport Van
The new High spec car-derived van from Ford vans has made its debut at the 2018 CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham ahead of its entry into the UK market later this year!
New Ford Fiesta Sport Van
Introduction
Based on the Ford Fiesta hatchback, the new van conversion for 2018 sees the UK's most popular new car with the rear seating removed, creating a load length of 1.3 metres and 1 cubic metre of load volume. The new van receives flat flooring with a durable rubber cover and tie-down hooks to secure your load. The Fiesta van is designed for light haulage work, with a payload of 500kg.
What engines will be available?
The latest creation from Ford vans is available with a selection of two engines. Choose from a 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine delivering 125ps or the familiar 125ps 1.5-litre TDCi Euro 6 compliant diesel engine from Ford vans. The new van will boast a claimed fuel economy matching that of the incredibly popular Ford Fiesta hatchback, claiming 66mpg on the petrol model and a staggering 80mpg on the diesel alternative.
What trim levels will be available?
The three-door van will be available in both standard and Sport trim (on display), with the Sport van expected to be responsible for the majority of interest and being available from launch!
The new van is loaded with new connectivity technology
The New Ford Fiesta Sport van will get a huge range of standard equipment, the Ford Sync 3 system is standard with an eight-inch colour touchscreen which is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems. The systems now include Waze live traffic and FordPass Connect on-board modem, with connectivity for up to 10 devices. The new van also gets a range of semi-autonomous technology taken across from the new car range, including: automatic city braking, adaptive cruise control and blind spot warning. There's also an app available to help the van driver locate the van in the car park and monitor the oil level, fuel and tyre pressures.
What other features does the new van have?
Like the Ford Fiesta ST (the inspiration behind the new van), the Fiesta Sport van gets a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels. Other Sporty features also include: colour coded rocker panels on the exterior and a flat bottomed steering wheel and aluminium pedals inside the van. The Sport van will also have heated seats and a heated steering wheel available as options.
