This year’s CV Show will see Citroen launch the new Dispatch, featuring new technology, design and architecture as well as some exciting functions new to the sector.
The next generation Citroen Dispatch is the first van in its class to offer hands-free sliding doors and a head-up display. Other new features include Driver Attention Alert, Active Safety Brake, Citroen Connect Nav and Mirror Link systems, and a range of optional extras to cater for the most unique requirements.
Designed with a range of professionals in mind, the new Dispatch will be available in panel van, combi and crew van models offering a choice of three lengths: 4.6m (L1), 4.95m (L2), 5.3m (L3). Load space can be extended to 4m by means of a bulkhead flap and lifting the side passenger seat.
Citroen have managed to increase the maximum payload to 1400kg – up from the current generation Dispatch’s 1200kg – while retaining the low height of the van, ensuring that underground car parks can still be accessed.
Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are best-in-class at 55.4mpg and 133g/km respectively. Running costs are kept to a minimum thanks to latest-generation 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre engines ranging from 95PS (manual gearbox) to 180PS (automatic gearbox).
The original Citroen Dispatch has enjoyed a 21-year lifespan, with over half a million sold. The next generation Dispatch will take its place alongside the Nemo, Berlingo and Relay.
