Peugeot vans are just perfect
Much like other manufacturers, Peugeot have a van to cater to each of the van size segments. Whether you need a compact, small, medium or large van - Peugeot have a solution.
The Peugeot vans range
Peugeot Bipper
Starting off at the low-end of the scale, the compact Bipper is Peugeot's smallest commercial vehicle. Despite its little profile, the Peugeot Bipper still manages to offer excellent space inside the van. It can accommodate items up to 2.5m in length thanks to a modular front passenger seat that folds flat, allowing items to be pushed through to the front.
Every model uses the same 1.3-litre 75PS turbo diesel engine, while the Bipper can carry up to 610kg of cargo. The Bipper has a sliding side door as well as rear doors that open to 180 degrees, making accessing the load space easy. Excellent fuel economy figures (60-69mpg combined) and a low insurance group mean that the Bipper is a very cheap van to run.
Peugeot Partner
Moving on to the small vans sector, the Peugeot Partner is the French manufacturer's offering. Basically the exact same van as the Citroen Berlingo, which one you choose is ultimately down to personal preference (or the better deal!). Anyway, the Partner's agile suspension provides a cushioned ride, protecting your cargo.
Its 1.6-litre engine offers two power outputs, 75PS and 92PS. Both units provide a decent amount of torque making the Partner ideally suited to city driving. A load area volume of 3.7m combined with a payload of up to 850kg is seriously impressive for such a small van. A sliding side door is standard on all models so you'll have no problem getting into that impressive cargo bay.
Peugeot Expert
Next up is the Peugeot Expert. It's offered in a range of bodystyles as well as two wheelbases and low or high roof if space or headroom is a concern. An innovative roof flap can be specified in order to carry awkward items that would not otherwise fit. Load volume ranges from 5 to 7 cubic metres while the Expert's maximum payload capacity is 1200kg.
What is great about the Expert is its low profile; it's not that much bigger than a people carrier. As a result, you can easily get the Expert into restricted underground car parks. Peugeot claim a respectable fuel economy range of 39.2mpg to 44.1mpg on the combined cycle. The Expert provides a comfortable drive thanks to its supple suspension. To lower the rear loading sill, air suspension can be specified to bring the loading height right down to 540mm.
Peugeot Boxer
Last but not least is the Peugeot Boxer. Probably the most versatile van in the range, the Boxer is offered in four lengths, three heights as well as the usual crew and chassis cab variants and a host of factory conversions like tippers and dropsides.
The boxer offers load volumes from 8 to 17 cubic metres and can carry payloads from 1155kg right up to 1900kg depending on your specification. Fuel economy ranges from 33.7mpg to 41.5mpg (combined) - which is competitive in the large van sector.
Peugeot trim levels across the range are S, SE and Professional; the latter being the high-spec model and ultimately the better choice.
