The best new van deals of 2016

The best new van deals of 2016

This year has been awash with announcements of new vans and pickups coming to market - not forgetting the imminent Euro 6 legislation - so we thought we'd take a look at the best new van deals in 2016.

Compact van: Citroen Nemo

It's common knowledge that the Citroen Nemo, Peugeot Bipper and Fiat Fiorino are 'siblings', so what puts the Nemo ahead of the pack? Honestly - not much. But if we're splitting hairs, then there are a few areas in which the Nemo beats its 'twins'. It's a compact van, so we'll assume that you'll choose it for its small size. With that in mind, the Nemo is thinner than the Fiorino (without compromising on loadspace), it's shorter than both the Bipper and Fiorino and also has the lowest loading height (527mm, shared with the Fiorino).

Ultimately, if you're looking for the best van deals on compact vans then you'll potentially choose the cheapest vans. Maybe size matters for you, and you want to get the most out of your compact van as is possible. Either way, the Nemo leads the chasing pack.

Small van: Citroen Berlingo

The Citroen Berlingo is one of the best small vans you can buy. Why? It's cheap, has some excellent features as standard and is now available with Euro 6 engines. Oh, and it's just £99 per month!

The Berlingo provides 4.1 cubic metres of loadspace - despite being a small van - thanks to an innovative modular bulkhead. It's also cheap to run, with all diesel units achieving well over 50mpg on the combined cycle. The definitive version is the 'Enterprise', and it comes with many features you'd expect from a luxury car. Air conditioning, satellite navigation, vehicle tracking, storage, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a dual passenger seat. We think that's everything!

Medium van: Ford Transit Custom

If a medium sized vehicle is what you need and you're looking to buy a new van, then look no further than the Ford Transit Custom. It's the mid-sized Transit and has recently been given an upgrade under the hood. Now featuring Ford's 'EcoBlue' 2.0-litre engines, the Custom is more efficient and it meets the upcoming Euro 6 legislation.

The Custom is easy to drive, cheap to run, practical and safe - it was awarded a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP. The cabin doubles up as a mobile office, making good use of advances in technology such as the SYNC voice-controlled entertainment system.

Large van: Iveco Daily

The Iveco name is pretty much synonymous with large vans, such is the manufacturer's reputation for building heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The Iveco Daily is built on a ladder-frame chassis meaning it is customisable, while it also boasts the biggest load volume in its class at 19.6 cubic metres. Find us a van that comes close to matching the Daily for carrying capacity, and we'll you get the point.

If you need a van that will carry anything and take a proper beating then the Iveco Daily is the van for you. Take a look at our best new van deals for the Iveco Daily.
