This weekend Vansdirect sponsored Louis Foster will head to Snetterton Circuit, Norfolk for the sixth round of races in the 2019 British Formula 4 Championship, sitting nicely in second place in the table, Vansdirect previews the action!
Louis Foster heads to Snetterton Circuit this weekend looking to close a 55 point deficit behind Zane Maloney in the British F4 Championship.
The British F4 Championship has been very tight and competitive and Foster has certainly impressed in his first season in single seaters, earning no fewer than six podium finishes, including three fantastic race victories over the first five weekends of races to date.
The last round of races at Oulton Park represented mixed fortunes for the Vansdirect sponsored racer, as he battled mechanical issues and was the first weekend in his career where he hadn’t found his way onto the podium. Despite this, Foster still achieved a strong haul of championship points and a fastest lap to cement second spot in the overall standings.
As Foster looks ahead to Snetterton, he will be able to take encouragement from the previous success he has had at the venue. Last year in the Ginetta Junior Championship, the Vansdirect sponsored racer achieved two podium finishes and the fastest lap of the first race.
With the weekend approaching, a new challenge now awaits for Louis as he takes his Double R Racing British F4 race car to the 2.97-mile Snetterton 300 Circuit for the very first time.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Louis commented:
“I love racing at Snetterton as it is such a fun and demanding track to go racing at the championship fight is really hotting up now, and I am determined to close the points gap to Zane Maloney this weekend. Oulton Park proved to be a frustrating weekend although there were still many positives to take away from it. My focus is definitely on a bounce back and hopefully, I will be returning to the podium this weekend!”
Louis’ weekend will commence with qualifying at 10:55 on Saturday 3rd August, before race one follows at 15:45. On Sunday, Louis can look forward to another two outings – with race two at 12:15 and race three at 16:40 respectively. Sunday’s action will be broadcast live on ITV4.
