British F4 - Race Weekend Four Preview

Louis Foster heads to Croft Circuit this weekend at the top of the British F4 Championship standings and as the best average qualifier after a phenomenal start to the 2019 season. The talented 15-year old driver representing Double R racing collected crucial championship points and further silverware in weekend three of competition at Thruxton as the fight for the title heated up and his lead at the top of the Championship was cut to five points. Foster now heads to North Yorkshire and Croft attempting to maintain or even increase his five point lead at the top of the table.

In the previous round of races, the Vansdirect sponsored racer claimed pole position ahead of title rival Zane Maloney and despite being on the wrong end of some misfortune in the first two races of the weekend, Foster came back swinging in the third and final race of the weekend at Thruxton, claiming a podium place and adding further points to his championship total.

Foster now looks forward to getting back on the track after a three week break from racing, with Croft proving a happy hunting ground for him in the past. Last year when he competed in the Ginetta Junior Championship, Foster took third position and his seventh podium of the 2019 season to date.

Vansdirect sponsored Louis Foster has enjoyed a fantastic start to his first year in single seaters and he will be heading to Croft celebrating yet another success as he looks forward to the end of his GCSE examinations on Friday. To date, Foster has won points in all nine races this year, including amassing three victories alongside a total of five podium finishes.

Louis is looking ahead to Croft and is determined to continue his fantastic start to the season, speaking ahead of this weekend, he commented:

"It has been a fantastic start to the season, I have had some great results so far and I can't wait to carry that momentum forward this weekend. The competition is getting tougher and tougher by the minute, but I'm determined that the team and I can deliver the results that we have been working so hard for throughout the season so far.

"British Formula 4 is such a closely contested championship, so I know that anything could potentially happen. I'm just taking each race as it comes and constantly striving to perform each time I get out onto the track. We know that the pace is there from the results we've had so far, so it's all about making smart decisions under pressure when battling it out at the front of the field."

Louis' weekend will start on Friday 14th June with two free practice sessions ahead of qualifying at 10.25 on Saturday. Race one and two will take place at 14.10 and 17.15 respectively on Saturday too, with the third and final race of the weekend at 15.20 on Sunday.
