Range-topping Volkswagen Amarok Aventura confirmed
Volkswagen vans have confirmed that they will be releasing a new top of the range Volkswagen Amarok Aventura model, which will be on sale later this year. New van specialists Vansdirect take a look at the new pick-up!
New Volkswagen Amarok Aventura
The new flagship pick-up of the Volkswagen Amarok range was first previewed at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017 in concept form. Volkswagen vans have now confirmed the new pick-up van for production, before joining the market later this year.
New Volkswagen Amarok Aventura - new engine
Volkswagen vans have started the Aventura upgrades with a new engine option, more powerful than the current range offers. The new 3.0-litre six-cylinder Euro 6 compliant diesel engine produces a power output of 254ps and a staggering 580Nm of torque. Maximum power can also be increased beyond the standard 254ps for sharp bursts of acceleration, compliments of an overboost feature adding an additional 14ps. This power works in conjunction with a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. The new engine will also make its way to current range topping, Highline models.
New Volkswagen Amarok Aventura - exterior
Pillar trims and the roof liner both get a black finish, whereas the new pick-up also receives unique 20-inch alloy wheels with a dark graphite finish. There's also bespoke 'Peacock Green' bodywork paint available for the Volkswagen Amarok Aventura, with other colours also available including the optional Indium Grey and Ravenna Blue matt finishes and Ravenna Blue metallic paintwork. The exterior modifications are finished by daytime LED running lights.
New Volkswagen Amarok Aventura - cabin and interior
The cabin of the new Amarok Aventura pick-up gains extra luxury courtesy of black Nappa leather upholstery as standard. Some optional features on Highline models also become standard features on Amarok Aventura models, these include: Light and Sight pack (leaving and coming home function with intermittent wiper function and rain sensor), front fog lights with cornering lights and electric folding exterior mirrors.
