Van manufacturer Nissan have been busy revamping the Nissan Navara pickup range. The new flagship Nissan Navara, set to go on sale on June, will now be powered by an enormous 3.0 litre V6 producing more than 230hp. According to information released so far, the new Nissan Navara will give peak torque of 550Nm across a 1,700rpm-to-2,500rpm, while a useful 500Nm is available from 1,500rpm. The new Nissan Navara will even idle at a remarkably-low 650rpm without excessive vibration and noise.
Nissan's existing 2.5-litre dCi diesel engine has also been revamped with engineers increasing power by 19hp yet cutting emissions by 40g/km to an impressive 224g/km. Nissan also states improved torque, up by 11 per cent to 450Nm.
The changes to the Nissan Navara are not just under the hood. In fact it gets a new hood! The new Nissan Navara also has revised front grille and a new bumper assembly adding an additional 80mm to the vehicle’s overall length. Inside the new Navara pickup, the door bins have been mage bigger - now able to hold your A3 map (or lose your Sat Nav) - the fabric and door trims have been changed, and the dials have been altered.
Nissan has also revamped the options list. When buying a Nissan Navara you will now be able to opt for 18" alloy wheels, a touch-screen satellite navigation system, a Bose sound system, rear view camera and, perhaps not quite as exciting, an Electronic Stability Programme.
