Britain’s iconic van, the Ford Transit Van, is having a good year, as large companies place bulk orders.
AA AutoWindshields has ordered 56 Ford Transit 300 SWB vans, taking their 2010 Ford Transit van order total to 247! The increase in their new van fleet is as a result of the 2009 purchase of AutoWindshields by the AA, which has itself seen the company expand rapidly.
Soon to be spotted on the roads of Bath is “Lions in Transit”. This badge will be on the LWB Ford Transit vans and is in conjunction with the City of Bath’s World Heritage status. The LWB Ford Transit Van is the chosen transport for 100 individually-decorated, life size lion sculptures that will be displayed all around the City of Bath.
Essex Housing Association has also entered into a 3 year contract for the provision of 21 new Ford Transit vans.
