When charging with a wallbox at home or at the office, you can benefit from cheaper night tariffs. This is cheaper than filling up your van with petrol or diesel.

There is also new Clean Air Zones (CAZs) and Low Emission Zones (LEZs) appearing across the UK. When travelling through these zones with a fully electric van, you can avoid being charged.

Nissan Townstar EV charging

If you choose the entry-level Nissan Townstar EV, you can charge at up to 11kW. You can recharge with a home wallbox or a public charging point with that speed capability. This will take approximately four hours. If you use a standard 7.4kW charger, it can take up to seven hours to fully charge the EV.

If you upgrade to an Acenta trim, you will get 22kW AC charging capability. The van also supports 80kW DC rapid charging. When you charge the Townstar EV with a 22kW charger from 0-80%, it will take two hours. Meanwhile, the rapid charger allows you to recharge from 0-80% in approximately 40 minutes.

You will receive two charging cables with the EV as standard: one for a domestic plug socket and a Type 2 cable.
