SUMMARY
The Citroën Nemo van is a compact high-cube van sistered with the Peugeot Bipper van and the Fiat Fiorino; all three are built at the same Fiat factory. The Citroën Nemo offers a compact design that maximises interior space without compromising on payload. Despite being a cheap van to buy, the Citroën Nemo van has a range of efficient engines to choose from but Vansdirect would recommend the particularly frugal diesel. Indeed, the Citroën Nemo is the ideal van for the city and particular those van drivers who need a small cheap van suited to urban multi-drop work. Moreover, the Citroën Nemo van can carry a Euro-Pallet with space to spare.
The Driving Experience
The Citroën Nemo's compact design and responsive steering makes it an agile city runaround but the Citroën Nemo lacks comfort when doing high motorway speeds. Behind the wheel of the Citroën Nemo you can't help but be impressed. All the controls are clearly presented and easy to use with a CD player as standard together with a driver's airbag. The Citroën Nemo however is best experienced in its "LX" guise which provides a few more creature comforts over the standard but cheap Citroën Nemo X, including remote central locking, electric mirrors, height adjustable driver's seat, folding/sliding passenger seat, an armrest, reach adjustable steering and a side loading door to name a few.
Load & Security
With a load length of 1520mm and a maximum payload of 610kg, the Citroën Nemo van is able to carry a Euro-Pallet with ease. Indeed, within its compact design, the Citroën Nemo has a cargo volume of 2.5 cubic metres. The Citroën Nemo's load length can be increased to 2.5 metres when equipped with the folding passenger seat option (standard in the Citroën Nemo LX). The Citroën Nemo's load area is equipped with four floor mounted lashing eyes and protective panelling to the waist rail. The Citroën Nemo is a cheap van but comes with all the safety basics you would expect. The Citroën Nemo van comes as standard wtih anti-lock brakes and a driver's airbag, but the added safety of an alarm or a passenger airbag is only optional on the Citroën Nemo.
Cost to Run
The Citroën Nemo is a cheap van to buy and a cheap van to run; especially if you've opted for the frugal diesel engine that can achieve in excess of 62mpg.
