Diesel Price Rise

Diesel vans remain much more econmical despite an increase in the price of diesel compared to petrol.  Diesel hit an average of 141p this month, which is now 7p more than a litre of petrol.  Despite this increase in the gap diesel engines rermain more financially viable because of the improved miles per gallon that you can achieve over and above a petrol engine.

A recent audit has revealed that 42% of British motorists are risking fines and potential driving bans on a daily basis by making journeys on dangerously worn tyres.  The biggest culprits were found to be in Birmingham, the North East and the Cheshire area.  Some vehicles had 3 or even all 4 tyres worn out beyond the legal limit.  This could amount to 12 penalty points and up to a £10,000 fine, let alone the road safety issue.  Voices across the motor industry are strongly recommending that all motorist check tyres for the winter period to save lives in the UK.
