Van Drivers

Van Drivers - Going GREEN

No doubt, there are many of you now tightening your belts and looking at ways to save money by using less fuel in your van.  Not only saving money, you can also claim to be GOING GREEN !

The environment is now a very important consideration for all of us as individuals, for companies and for Government policies.  It's worth noting that if your van is part of your daily business then fuel can represent up to 30% of your operational costs.  Every litre of diesel burned emits 2.68g of CO2 into the atmosphere, contributing to global warming.

Check your licence

According to CFC Solutions, a leading fleet software provider, many car and van drivers are still unaware that the photo card driving licence must be renewed every ten years from point of issue. The photo card licence was first issued in 1998 so Vansdirect ask all van drivers to check their licence now to avoid an unnecessary penalty. The date can be found on the front of the card labelled "4b."

Van drivers safest on roads

Once again, van drivers have been named the safest drivers on our roads according to new research - something that Vansdirect has never doubted!  According to supermarket giant Tesco, van drivers make fewer claims on their motor insurance in comparison to other groups of motorists.
