Conservatives

GM Re-Born

General Motors, the name behind the likes of Vauxhall and Saab, will be reborn later today, merely 40 days after filing for bankruptcy in the United States.  The giant car and van maker rising from the ashes will be "a new concern that is majority-owned by the US government" (Guardian.co.uk, 10/7/09)

Police Boxer

When choosing which cheap new van to buy, it's always helpful to consider what vans other people buy.  When thinking of authoritative example, none come much more credible than the Police.  This week, Northumbria Police have introduced twelve nine-seater Peugeot Boxer vans to their fleet.

Ford Reports 20% Increase

Ford has reported a 20% increase in sales since April and the van giant continues to gain market share.  However, the car and cheap vans maker insists that it has nothing to do with General Motors and Chrysler filing for bankruptcy protection.  Indeed, Ford has attributed its recent success to the launch of the new Ford Fusion and the new Ford Fiesta beating the Volkswagen Golf to the title of best selling European car.
